TWI’s Project Leader, Tomaso Maccio, recently delivered an enlightening presentation titled “COMPASS – Shaping the Future of Geothermal Wells in Superhot Contexts.” This presentation, which took place at the TWI Oil and Gas Panel Meeting on June 8^th, showcased the transformative potential of the COMPASS project and underscored the pivotal role played by TWI and its partners in shaping the future of geothermal energy production.

At the heart of Tomaso’s presentation was the groundbreaking EHLA (Extreme High-Speed Laser Cladding) technology. This cutting-edge innovation, spearheaded by TWI, has the potential to revolutionize geothermal well construction.
