CURISTEC Addresses Geothermal Drilling Challenges at SPE/GR Workshop
Rym Bouchair from CURISTEC presented key findings from the COMPASS project at the SPE/GR Geothermal and Oil & Gas – Mutual Challenges and Solutions workshop in Denver, Colorado, USA. The workshop, organized by the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and Geothermal Rising (GR), gathered professionals from both industries to discuss shared challenges and solutions. Bouchair’s presentation, titled “Cement Mechanical Integrity Design Challenges for Geothermal Wells,” focused on the impact of curing conditions on mechanical properties and the importance of cement sheath mechanisms in modeling. This engagement underscores COMPASS’s commitment to addressing critical issues in geothermal well construction and integrity.
