The COMPASS Consortium is pleased to invite geothermal professionals, researchers, policymakers, and stakeholders to a dedicated Regional Stakeholder Workshop on superhot geothermal energy, taking place in Reykjavík on 16 May 2025.
As part of the Horizon Europe-funded COMPASS project, this workshop will focus on technological, environmental, and economic solutions to address challenges in the development of superhot and high-enthalpy geothermal wells.
What to Expect:
Presentation of key COMPASS technologies and research outcomes
Focus on well integrity, corrosion mitigation, thermal stress, and flexible couplings
Open dialogue with Icelandic and international stakeholders
Panel discussion on future pathways for superhot geothermal in Iceland
